The CFPS exam is an open-book test of 100 questions in 3 hours, and the only book you may use is the Fire Protection Handbook. So the real skill is not memorising. It is finding the right section of the handbook fast and understanding what it says.

- CFPS-style questions. Practice questions test definitions, limits, classifications and look-ups, like the real exam, not long calculations.

5 mistakes to avoid when you prepare from Saudi Arabia
- Waiting for the "right" classroom date. Many engineers lose months waiting for a course in their city. With an online course you can start this week and keep your job and site schedule.
- Studying without your own handbook. The exam allows only the Fire Protection Handbook. If you study from notes and slides only, you will not be fast enough with the book on exam day.
- Memorising instead of practising look-ups. The CFPS is open book. Practise finding answers in the handbook under time pressure, not learning pages by heart.
